St Martin de Porres Medal – Patron of Race Relations – Antique Reproduction Review

St Martin de Porres Medal - Patron of Race Relations - Antique Reproduction

This medal shows St Martin de Porres in the garden of his monastery holding a broom and crucifix. Originally a servant at the Holy Rosary Dominican Priory in Lima, Peru, he was promoted to almoner and then put in charge of the infirmary where he was known for his miraculous cures. He became the first black person admitted to the Dominican order in 1603 and the first black saint in the Americas.

The original of this beautiful and unique St Martin de Porres medal came from Argentina. I have had it recast in sterling silver so it shows all the details and wear of the original antique piece. It is made of sterling silver and will come with a matching holy card in an organza gift bag, so it’s ready to give as a present to someone else or yourself.

Size: 1 3/8 inches
Material: Sterling silver. All chains are sterling silver as well.
